After completing a season with the University of South Florida men’s tennis program in Tampa, Max began exploring the college tennis transfer process to find an opportunity that better matched the next stage of his development. He genuinely enjoyed his time at USF and the experience of competing at the Division I level, but he was looking for a fresh environment, a strong team culture, and the chance to be closer to home in the Bradenton–Sarasota area.

For student-athletes, transferring colleges is about much more than simply finding another roster spot. The right college tennis transfer needs to fit academically, athletically, financially, and personally. We worked with Max to identify programs where he could continue improving, compete at a high level, and feel supported throughout the transition.

New College of Florida quickly became an excellent fit. Located in Sarasota—only about 20 minutes from Max’s home in Bradenton—it offered the opportunity to stay close to family and his local support system while joining one of the strongest and most competitive NAIA tennis programs in the country. With an outstanding coaching staff, a talented roster, and a program committed to building at a high level, New College provided the ideal setting for Max to keep developing his game over the next year.

Recruited helped Max navigate every part of the college tennis transfer process, from evaluating the best fit and communicating with the coaching staff to making sure the move aligned with his long-term goals. His transfer from USF to New College of Florida shows how the right change of environment can create a better overall college experience for a tennis player.
